Avoid the hypes. Tips for effective Internet marketing and visible search engine listings based on many years of research!

Hype 1:You must submit to each search engine

Many website submission services advertise that they submit to more than 1000 search engines. But most of the listed engines are not real search engines. They obtain their listings from other search engines. It is only relevant to submit to search engines which maintains its own index and you will be automatically listed in all search engines they provide listings to.

==>We have created an effective automatic search engine submission service which places your website in all relevant search engines.

Hype 2: You must submit your website to search engines to be included

Search engines use two sources to find new websites. They follow links they have found on indexed websites and add each new page to the search engine. Pages indexed are refreshed regularly. Our research showed that in Google pages with a high pagerank are refreshed more frequently. Pages with a pagerank of 6 or higher even every day. Pages with a pagerank of 5 are refreshed every four days and with a pagerank of 4 every 10 days. Yahoo, MSN and the other major search engines use a similar refresh strategy. The best way to be submitted to these big search engines is to place a link to your page on a high pagerank webpage. However automatic submission is the most effective for smaller search engines with smaller indexes and a less frequent refresh frequency.

==>Our proven and effective search engine inclusion service also places submitted links on a frequently spidered web page

Hype 3: You must submit your website to 10000+ search engines to get traffic

The 10 biggest search engines generate more than 95% of search engine traffic. It is important to be listed in the major search engines. However small engines can be interesting because the chance of being found is bigger because of the smaller index size. In our opinion is only useful to submit to search engines with a pagerank of at least 4.

==>Our proven and effective search engine inclusion service will submit your webpage to high quality search engines with a pagerank of at least 4.

Hype 4: You must submit all your subsites to get your subsites listed

The spiders of the big search engines will follow links on your homepage and index all links they found. This process could take a few months. Submission of subpages is often a waste of effort.

==>Use our proven and effective inclusion service. Your subpages will be included after inclusion of your homepage.

Hype 5: You must resubmit your website regularly to search engines

This is not necessary. Once you have been included in a search engine your page will normally stay in the index as long as it is compliant with their policies.

==>Use our proven and effective inclusion service once. Your website will stay included in the major search engines.

Hype 6: Search Engine will increase the revenues of your website

Search Engine Optimization could lead to a little more traffic from websites. We believe however that the most important success factor is a quality website, which offers a unique and value added service. Why? A unique value added service will lead to return visits of customers. It will also make it more easy to get links to your website. Quality links from related quality websites are the most important factor for high listings in the big search engines and increased traffic to your website.

==>Focus on improving the quality of your service instead of optimising for search engines.

Hype 7: Landing pages are an effective marketing tool

Landing pages often contain a lot of paid affiliate links and little content in an attempt to earn money if users click on these paid links. However many search engines consider these landing pages as spam and will remove them. You can use them for PPC marketing. But it will be difficult to earn back the costs of the PPC campaign. A landing page can be successful if it only focuses on a single product and provides unique information to the buyer.

==>A landing page shoud focus on one product and contain value added content
